UCS Engages Future Innovators at UBC Career Days 2025

Vancouver, BC – October 2025

US CAN STARTUP (UCS) was proud to participate in the UBC Career Days 2025 held on October 9 at the Robert H. Lee Alumni Centre at the University of British Columbia. The event brought together students, alumni, and organizations committed to shaping the future of innovation and entrepreneurship in Canada. Throughout the day, the UCS team engaged with hundreds of aspiring founders, technologists, and creative professionals, introducing them to opportunities through the Global Mobility Accelerator and UCS’s portfolio ventures, including Xlens, OptHealth, and SheepSleep.

Empowering the Next Generation of Innovators

Students had the opportunity to learn about career and venture pathways across UCS programs and partner startups. These included:

  • Founder Training and Venture Opportunities
  • Investment and Capital Partner Tracks
  • Marketing, Data, and Event Operations Roles
  • Freelance Photographer Program

Each track is designed to provide hands-on experience within Canada’s startup ecosystem while equipping participants with global business and innovation skills. UCS also highlighted its Start-Up Visa (SUV) Pathway, which enables entrepreneurs to establish and grow ventures in Canada, providing international founders with access to networks, mentorship, and long-term residency opportunities.
